Sattaking To Gujarat's Tax Receivers

The last Sattaking has revealed two numbers and a strategy for Gujarat government. One, in the Sattaking, there is no mention of approval of the Gujarat CM candidate. Both the politicians have been revealed to be pleased with the emergence of Narendra Modi as chief minister.

There is no willingness to enter the fray as of late and the cause for this behavior has been given in the recent time. The state's Chief Minister has been doing a complete 180 from his earlier acts. He was suddenly silent and did not speak even for a minute. It seems that when the state's ruling party wishes to strike a retreat, it takes this action.

The other important factor is found in the Sattaking. The government will need to identify all the delinquent people who are involved in the state's tax evasion and those whose cheque have been returned. The reason for this shift in the stance of the government is to suggest the policy of speedy collection of taxes.

The Sattaking does not define the situation well. The same policy and targets were mentioned in the Sattaking 2020. This means that the policy has not changed. In fact, the policy has been left untouched and even worse, given a new name which has hardly put a smile on the face of the government.

Instead of the former government, the policies have been delivered to the elected representatives of Gujarat in the form of the Sattaking 2020. What we have is something of a wash out. The government is left with nothing more than declarations without any object. Its attempts to target the erring state's tax defaulters have been totally ignored by the BJP.

The policies meant for Gujarat government have been cancelled completely in the Sattaking. However, the BJP's finance minister A.P. Yeddyurappa has managed to fool the state's taxpayers by calling the policy a 'window policy'.

The money from the state's tax coffers has been diverted into the coffers of the BJP through the Sattaking. The defaulters who have failed to file their returns have not been called out for the failure to file their return. On the contrary, they have been dealt a second time. Under the guise of a 'window policy', the state government has the chance to strike a deal with the citizens of Gujarat for the betterment of the state's finances.

There can be no doubt that the change of the government in Gujarat has been effected through the Sattaking and that only because of the intervention of the Gandhiji. The Gujarat people have been hypnotized by the guru and they have taken the guidance of the government with every intention of fulfilling the goals of the welfare schemes. But, nothing has been achieved by way of the stated policy for Gujarat government. The change that should have been seen has been totally denied.
